Tinnitus,
which causes ringing in the ears, can
stem from the ear itself, but may also
be caused by high blood pressure and
other problems. The source of tinnitus,
according to Chinese Medicine will be
rooted in the kidneys. For old people,
who are most often affected by tinnitus,
a Chinese Medicine practitioner will
tone the kidneys to strengthen the blood.
If the kidney essence is deficient,
Chinese herbs which can alleviate this
include Chinese wolfberry, mulberry
fruit and dodder seed. For chronic weakness
of kidneys, leading to tinnitus, a combination
of herbs and acupuncture is best.
